Don Pippin Jr, CBI CMSBB

Don Pippin Jr is the Sunbelt Business Brokers office owner for Lafayette, LA. Don brings an array of experience in both Lafayette-based and out-of-state business ventures, including real estate development and franchise acquisitions. Don has business savvy from extensive marketing knowledge, and has been involved in all areas of business from start-ups to mergers and divesting. In 1989, Don purchased an IT solutions franchise known as ComputerLand that provided professional networking, software integration and training services for businesses, in particular major petrochemical facilities in southeast Texas. In 1991, Don was awarded “Top Franchisee” within the ComputerLand system. Don was a founding partner in EmStat, a comprehensive Hospital Emergency Information System to Business Records after successfully installing the system in over 75 hospitals nationwide. In addition, Don was a founding partner in Justice Link, an electronic filing system between courts and law firms. The business installed systems nationwide and was merged with CourtLink and sold to Lexis Nexis in 2002. In 1997, he began developing real estate holdings in Louisiana, Texas and Colorado. He recently sold local popular retail franchises Once Upon A Child and Clothes Mentor. Don is presently on the board of Lafayette Better Business Bureau, and enjoys fishing, aviation, and all things outdoors.

David Rose, CPA CCIM

David is a CPA and graduate of McNeese State University. David also obtained his Master’s in Business Administration with an emphasis in investment analysis from McNeese. Since entering into business brokerage in 2007, David’s financial background and years of experience have helped clients in various types of transactions. Types of deals closed include tax free 1031 exchanges, hotel and hospitality, industrial and auto dealership assets. As an active investor himself, David personally understands investors’ needs and what it takes to close profitable deals. On a personal note, David loves traveling and spending time with, his wife, Connie and their two boys, Andrew and Nathan. David is an active member of Moss Bluff Bible Church where he teaches Sunday school, serves as Treasurer and works with the youth. Tana Moss has background in both business ownership and marketing. She spent 20 years in the marketing industry working with thousands of local businesses to find solutions and increase sales. She spent the last several years owning and growing and then selling in early 2016 her own marketing franchise company. Through the years, she became a trusted advisor to her clients and developed roots in the local business community. She is currently on the executive board with the local BBB of Acadiana and is active in the business community. She has the experience to understand the needs of “Main Street” business owners and a unique perspective on how to better market each business to find the right match for its needs. The time spent as a business owner herself has given her the ability to quickly understand and analyze a business financially to assist with determining a most probable selling price and valuation for business owners looking to sell. Courtney Trahan, CMSBB

Courtney Trahan comes to Sunbelt Business Brokers with extensive experience in sales, marketing, banking and finance. She has worked with hundreds of small to medium business owners, providing tools and strategies to boost sales and profitability for main street businesses. In 2016 Courtney earned her Certified Main Street Business Broker certification and has since managed and assisted in the sale of over 30 businesses. Courtney offers a wealth of experience in bringing business listings to market and navigating the sale process with both Buyers and Sellers, ensuring that transactions are handled with the utmost professionalism and in a timely fashion. Courtney and her husband Gator reside in the small community of Iota where they are raising their three children. They are avid sports enthusiasts, regularly attending LSU and Saints games, as well as coaching their children’s baseball and softball teams.

Craig P. Leach

As a recently retired executive of Amerisafe, Inc (AMSF), a specialty provider of worker’s comp to small and mid-size businesses. Craig’s 35 years of service to the business community affords significant knowledge to potential buyers and sellers. Craig’s experience ranged from various management positions in the “privately held” business, to multiple executive positions at the organization once an investment firm was involved. Craig was instrumental in the transition of the company to that of a public company in 2007. Craig and his wife Jan are lifelong residents of Southwest Louisiana. They have two sons, one daughter and five grandchildren. Craig enjoys spending time with his family, fishing, duck hunting and the great outdoors.
